Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Gunners told to accept £100m Aubameyang deal, Edouard battle

Arsenal told to accept £100m Aubameyang deal

Arsenal have been urged to allow Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to complete a transfer away from the Emirates Stadium this summer - but only on one condition.

Former Gunners striker Charlie Nicholas believes Arsenal must cash in on their captain if a £100m fee is presented to them in the summer transfer window.

Aubameyang has just over 12 months remaining on his contract in North London and Arsenal may be pressured into a sale to avoid losing his services for free next year.

While Aubameyang's departure will be a huge blow but, by securing a £100m fee for his services in return, they will have the finances to seal a replacement.

Pablo Mari makes Arsenal transfer admission

On-loan Arsenal defender Pablo Mari has admitted that he is keen to complete a permanent move to join the Gunners, he told Sky Sports.

The Gunners drafted in the Brazilian defender from South American side Flamengo during the January transfer window, as one of Mikel Arteta's first recruits at the helm.

He made his debut in the FA Cup against Portsmouth and also impressed in the Premier League against West Ham, with the Gunners keeping clean sheets in both matches.

While his impact has been heavily impacted by the coronavirus outbreak but Mari is keen on making his move to the Emirates Stadium permanent.

The 22-year-old has excelled with the Scottish champions, scoring 21 goals in 27 SPL matches this season and contributing a further 12 assists.

His performances have caught the eye, with the Gunners scouting the France forward several times during the campaign before football in the UK was halted.

While he is seen as the ideal replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, securing his services will be a challenge as Everton are also in the hunt.
