Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Gunners seal €80m deal, as £55m Zaha bid is made

There are now under two weeks left in the summer transfer window for Arsenal to do their business.

The Gunners have completed three signings, with William Saliba, Dani Ceballos and 18-year-old Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli all arriving at the Emirates Stadium, but could on the verge of a sensational swoop.

On the pitch, Arsenal have completed their pre-season tour of the United States of America, and after their Emirates Cup clash against Lyon on Sunday afternoon, can now turn their attention to the start of the Premier League season.

Below, we take a look at the latest transfer rumours involving the Gunners for players who could arrive - and leave.

Nicolas Pepe

Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal with Lille for Nicolas Pepe, and been given permission by the Ligue 1 side to conclude terms with the Ivory Coast international.

According to the  Sunday Times , the Gunners’ main competition for Pepe was Napoli, but they have been put off by the amount of commission requested by the winger’s agent Samir Khiat, who took to social media to deny that a deal had been agreed with Manchester United.

Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanllehi reached the verbal agreement with the French side on Friday, and the Gunners still believe that a move for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney is viable, despite protracted negotiations.

football.london understands Arsenal are in advanced talks with Lille to sign the Ivory Coast winger for €80m.

The fee will likely be paid by instalments to fit Arsenal’s budget.

According to Spanish outlet  AS  the 22-year-old still sees his long-term future with the La Liga club, and hopes his spell in England will allow him to impress the powers that be at the Bernabeu.

The midfielder is likely to get regular playing time at the Emirates next season, and was convinced by fellow Spaniard Unai Emery to join the club.
