Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Guirassy eyed, Gunners get boost over £22m Dennis deal

Here are the latest Arsenal transfer rumours for Monday, May 18.

Arsenal considering a deal for Serhou Guirassy

Arsenal are chasing Amiens striker Serhou Guirassy, according to reports.

Guirassy, 24, first joined Amiens on loan in January 2019 before completing a permanent move to the club last summer. This season has seen him in fine form in Ligue 1, with the striker recording nine goals in 23 league games prior to the season ending early due to the coronavirus.

That form has caught the attention of clubs in England according to the Daily Mail, with Arsenal, West Ham and Bournemouth all said to be interested in the Amiens striker. The report says Guirassy’s agent, Mark McKay, has been sounding out potential suitors ahead of a summer move.

“A number of clubs in England and across Europe have shown an interest in Serhou after he performed so well for Amiens,” McKay is quoted as saying.

“In the current climate due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic clubs might not be able to pay huge transfer fees like they used to and in that respect, Serhou could prove to be a bargain in this window.

“Serhou’s preference has always been to play in the English Premier League, but Amiens will evaluate all offers that come in for him and make a decision from there.”

Arteta receives transfer boost as target ‘prepares for new step’

Emmanuel Dennis is set to “take a new step” in his career this summer, which has handed a boost to Mikel Arteta during his pursuit of the player.

Dennis, 22, joined Club Brugge from Zorya in 2017 and has nine goals in 33 games across all competitions this season.

That form has seen him linked with a move away from Brugge, with his manager Philippe Clement conceding that it is almost guaranteed he will depart the club this summer.

“It is very likely that Dennis will leave,” Clement told La Derniere Heure (via the Daily Express).

“He can also count on a lot of interest. It is the time for him to take a new step.”

The 22-year-old is expected to cost £22million if he does move, with Leicester also credited with an interest in his services.

Edouard has been in fine form for Celtic this season, notching 21 goals in 27 games prior to the season being halted due to coronavirus.

Now, according to the Scottish Mail On Sunday the player’s representatives are considering an approach from the Magpies, who they consider to be an attractive proposition.

The former Paris Saint-Germain striker is believed to be available for £30million when the transfer window reopens and has been heavily linked with a move to the Gunners.
