Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Grealish interest, Partey priority, £13m battle for Roca

With the transfer window now open, all eyes are on what business Mikel Arteta will do this summer at Arsenal.

The Gunners of course have the FA Cup final to look ahead to on Saturday, which could have a big bearing on their business this summer.

Lifting the trophy would see Arsenal qualify for the Europa League, which would no doubt be a big boost to Arteta’s hopes of making some big signings.

Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming from north London.

Interest in Grealish

Arsenal have reportedly shown an interest in signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa, although a move to the Emirates looks unlikely.

The Villa skipper is being linked with a move this summer, having helped his boyhood club secure their Premier League safety.

Manchester United have been the most prominent club linked to the midfielder, although Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has revealed the Gunners have also registered their interest.

Solhekol says Grealish is undecided about his future, while Villa want to keep him and would not sell him for less than £80m – he also says Arsenal’s interest has not been followed up.

Gunners told to prioritise Partey

Arsenal have been told to prioritise Thomas Partey over Philippe Coutinho and Willian in this summer’s transfer market.

All three have been linked with moves to the Emirates Stadium, with reports suggesting that Atletico Madrid have turned down Arsenal’s offer of £22.7m plus Matteo Guendouzi for Partey.

Coutinho looks set to depart Barcelona this summer, while Willian’s contract at Chelsea is set to expire, but former Gunner Kevin Campbell believes the club should focus their efforts on Partey.

“He’s the one player we’ve lacked at Arsenal and having that defensive shield for the back four or five is going to be really important,” Campbell told Sky Sports ( via Metro ).

Battle for Roca

The 23-year-old looks set to leave Espanyol this summer following their relegation from La Liga, which could see them having to accept a cut-price figure.

Espanyol have accepted that they won’t be able to demand the full €40m release clause in his contract, and could settle for a figure around €15m.

And, according to Sport ( via Team Talk ), both Arsenal and Everton are “very attentive” to Roca’s situation, and look set to duel for his signature.
