Arsenal prepared to cash in on striker
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for Alexandre Lacazette as Mikel Arteta looks to revamp his squad.
The striker, who moved to north London from Lyon for £46 million in 2017, has netted 45 times in 114 appearances leading the Gunners’ line.
However, according to Spanish publication AS, Mikel Arteta would be willing to allow the Frenchman to leave should a decent bid come in when the transfer window opens.
Atletico Madrid, who were keen on signing Lacazette before his move to Arsenal, are said to be ready to reignite their interest in the 28-year-old.
Arteta eyes up Aubameyang replacement
In other Arsenal striker news, Mikel Arteta seems resigned to the fact he could be set to lose starman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, already pinpointing his replacement.
The Gunners’ manager is said to be looking at Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic, per Sport, despite the Serbian only joining the Bernabeu club last summer.
Jovic, 22, moved to Spain following an impressive campaign with German side Frankfurt in 2018/19 but has struggled during his first season in La Liga.
However, Arteta feels he could revive the player’s career at the Emirates and lessen the impact of Aubameyang’s departure.
With the Gabonese hitman about to enter the final year of his contract and no sign of a new deal imminent, Arsenal will likely listen to offers for the player to avoid losing him for free in 2021.
Arsenal close in on Kurzawa
Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Layvin Kurzawa on a free transfer, according to reports.
Spanish outlet Todofichajes write that the Gunners are “very close” to completing a deal for the PSG left-back.
Kurzawa, who is out of contract this summer, was a target for Arsenal in the January window.
Juventus, Chelsea, Milan, Inter, Napoli and Barcelona have all been spoken of as potential destinations for the 27-year-old.
But Arsenal have seemingly won the race for his signature, with Kurzawa poised to sign a five-year deal in north London.
Arsenal linked with Olympiacos defender
Arsenal are the latest club to be linked with Olympiacos centre-back Ousseynou Ba.
Premier League rivals Liverpool and Wolves are also reportedly keen on the Senegalese defender, but Greek paper Efsyn via Sport Witness, say the Gunners are also interested.
Arsenal have already had a chance to look at Ba up close, with the player featuring in both legs of the Gunners’ round of 32 Europa League exit earlier this season.
The report claims the player would cost in the region of £17 million.
