Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Exciting Partey and Lacazette trade, £43.6m Fekir deal

Arsenal’s season may be on hold as the world battles the coronavirus crisis, but that has not stopped reports claiming they are looking ahead and planning their summer transfer business.

It remains to be seen when the transfer window will open this summer, as leagues and associations battle to conclude their current campaigns.

But managers, and their recruitment staff, are believed to be keeping busy in isolation by planning deals well in advance if the latest reports are to be believed.

With that in mind, here are the latest transfer rumours from the Emirates.

Partey/Lacazette swap

Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has made it clear he would like to move to Arsenal and is hoping a deal can be struck between the clubs.

That is according to The Telegraph, who claim Partey has told those close to him he has ambitions of proving himself in the Premier League with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Partey has a release clause of around £45million and Atletico are braced for approaches in the upcoming window.

The report also adds that Atletico are interested in Gunners forward Alexandre Lacazette and a swap deal could be conducted between the two clubs this summer.

Fenerbahce backed for Ozil

Fenerbahce are reportedly "working on a transfer" for Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.

The Sun are reporting that a close friend of the midfielder believes the Turkish giants would be "favourites" to sign the 31-year-old.

His friend, TV host and big Fenerbahce fan Acun Ilicali, said: "I receive lots of questions about Mesut Ozil. I believe in the future that good things will happen. I’m not in a position to give details but I know our president is also working hard for this.

“When his contract with Arsenal will expire, the favourites would be Fenerbahce. We are also working on that front.

"I really wanted to tell you in more detail, but I cannot. We’ll talk about these things when the time comes.”

Ozil has a deal at the Emirates until the summer of 20121 and earns £350,000-a-week at the minute.

Fekir eyed

Arsenal have ‘already taken an interest’ in signing Nabil Fekir this summer.

The Real Betis playmaker is on the radar of the Gunners, according to Spanish publication AS.

With the future of Mesut Ozil uncertain, Arsenal are keen to add another creative midfielder to their ranks, but the former Lyon man will cost the Gunners ‘at least’ €50million (£43.6m), according to the report.
