Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: England defender reveals thoughts on potential Arsenal move

There are just under four months until the summer window opens, and clubs will be forming their transfer strategy.

However with some prospective targets, Arsenal might already be falling behind but there is also plenty of hope around for the future.

Here are the latest updates and rumours for the players Unai Emery's side have been linked with in the last 24 hours.

Michael Keane

Everton defender Michael Keane has opened up on rumours linking him with a £50m move to Arsenal.

As reported by the Daily Star, he said: "It’s just something you don’t really think about to be honest. I didn’t really think about it when I was at Burnley.

"You just have to focus on whoever you are playing for and giving your best every day in every game.

"That’s what I’ve always done and what I will always do."

Keane, who has played all but four of Everton's 33 Premier League games this season, joined from Burnley for £25million in 2017 and has seen his stock rise in his two years at Goodison Park.

The 26-year-old, who began his career at Manchester United, has now become a regular in the England squad and scored his first international goal in the 5-0 Euro 2020 qualifier rout of Montenegro.

The England international was due to start against Arsenal on Sunday, but pulled out in the warm-up due to illness.

Everton beat the Gunners 1-0 to damage Unai Emery's side in their quest for Champions League football.

Takuma Asano

According to the Mirror, Arsenal are angry with Bundesliga side Hannover 96 about the use of loanee forward Takuma Asano.

They report that the club have become frustrated with a lack of game time for the Japanese forward who signed for the Gunners in 2016 but is yet to play a single game for them.

German outlet kicker report that the decision to stop playing Asano, who has made 15 appearances this season in all competitions comes from a desire to avoid an obligation in the loan deal to buy Asano from Arsenal for €3.5 million if he plays another game.

They report that the club hierarchy have told manager Thomas Doll that Asano is not to be played.

When asked about Asano Doll said: "I am responsible for the preparation and the squad composition, but that’s all I’m saying."

Eddie Howe has admitted there are no guarantees that Ryan Fraser will sign a new deal at Bournemouth this summer, and the Mirror are saying he has hinted that Fraser might leave.

Fraser has been a target for Arsenal this season after impressing at the Vitality Stadium throughout the season.

Howe said: "We have spoken to Ryan and his representatives about his contract. It is one where we will see what happens.

"There is no doubting Ryan’s quality and how highly we think of him. He is an outstanding talent but it is a two-way prospect to sign a contract, so let’s wait and see.

"Ryan has contributed to the team this season but it’s not the time to talk about speculation. Who knows in the summer? It is that time of year when things change and us ourselves will be looking to sign players."
