Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Ceballos update, Guendouzi talks, Mustafi twist

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last five games heading into tomorrow's clash at Tottenham but it's clear more needs to be done to improve the squad.

The Gunners are highly unlikely to finish in the top four and have the arduous task of trying to convince Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang to sign a new contract.

There has been plenty of speculation about his future but also in regards to several other players in the squad who may also leave for pastures new.

The latest Arsenal transfer round-up includes updates on the likes of Dani Ceballos, Matteo Guendouzi and Shkodran Mustafi.

Ceballos future update

Dani Ceballos signed for Arsenal last summer on a season-long loan from Real Madrid and now the Gunners are eager to make the deal permanent.

However, AC Milan, Valencia and Real Betis are reportedly interested in snappy up the playmaker ahead of next season.

Ceballos is likely to be loaned out again for the 2020/21 campaign and Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wants him back but will face tough competition, per the Express.

Guendouzi set to thrash out issues

Matteo Guendouzi's agent is set to enter talks with Arsenal over the midfielder's future.

Guendouzi has been training alone ever since he was dropped from the matchday squad, which has lasted for the last five games in all competitions.

Mikel Arteta asked Guendouzi to apologise for grabbing Brighton striker Neal Maupay by the throat last month but the 21-year-old has failed to do so thus far.

ESPN have reported that Guendouzi's agent, Philippe Nabe, will have a meeting with Arteta and Raul Sanllehi, Arsenal's head of football, next week.

Arteta wants Mustafi deal

Shkodran Mustafi has had some very low points during his Arsenal career but Arteta wants to see the defender stay.

The centre-back has quite often been the butt of jokes at the Emirates but has impressed the Spanish manager this season.

"That's something (Mustafi new deal) the club has to address but he knows my opinion," Arteta admitted.

"I'm really happy with him as you can see. The way he's playing, how committed he is with everything we're trying to do, the level in his performance every three or four days, he's been really consistent."
