Latest Arsenal transfer rumours - Bellerin and Demiral swap deal, £7m wonderkid move, Ozil exit

The January transfer window is just round the corner.

In less than four weeks' time the winter window will be open, albeit only for one month.

It is the only time Premier League clubs can make any signings between now and the end of the 2019/20 season.

And while Arsenal are not normally busy in January, they may be forced to enter the market this season by virtue of their poor start to the season so far.

Unai Emery was sacked with Freddie Ljungberg named interim head coach and the Swede has work to do to get Arsenal back firing on all cylinders.

The Gunners have already been linked with plenty of new players, here' we take a look at the latest rumours doing the rounds.

Hector Bellerin swap deal

Merih Demiral is a name that has been linked with a move to the Premier League in January.

The Turkish defender has been struggling for game time under Maurizio Sarri at Juventus and has been tipped to leave the Italian giants for first team football elsewhere.

Arsenal and Manchester United are two sides that have been linked and there are reports from Calcio Mercato that Arsenal and Juve could do a swap deal with Hector Bellerin moving in the other direction.

Would Arsenal or Bellerin even consider the move in January, with the full-back having just returned from injury?

Karim Adeyemi to Arsenal

While there is plenty of interest around the likes of Erling Braut-Haaland and Dominik Szobozslai, Red Bull Leipzig stars who started at Salzburg, another young gun is rising up through the ranks at Salzburg.

Teenager Karim Adeyemi has garnered a lot of attention recently.

The 17-year-old is on loan with fellow Austrian side FC Liefering this season, but already has 11 goals and eight assists to his name this season.

And Liverpool and Arsenal have joined Barcelona in the race for his signature, having sent scouts to watch him, according to Spanish publication Sport .

Adeyemi is value at around £7million.

Mesut Ozil to Fenerbahce

What does the future hold for Mesut Ozil at Arsenal now Unai Emery has gone?

The German was all-but frozen out by Emery at the Emirates, with games here and there offered up to him sporadically.

Ozil has always maintained he is happy in north London, and why wouldn't you be on £350,000 a week, but there have always been links with a move away, namely to Turkey.

Fenerbahce were reportedly interested in the summer and according to Fotospor the Turkish Super Lig side will make one final attempt to secure his services in January.

Ozil is understood to be considering the offer.

Dayot Upamecano to Arsenal

red Bull Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano has been a long-term target of Arsenal.

The Gunners need defensive reinforcements and he has been tipped to join William Saliba at the Emirates next summer.

And one former Arsenal star has backed a move for the young defender.

Kevin Campbell said: "I have seen Dayot Upamecano play and he is big, strong, quick and aggressive - everything that our defence isn’t.

"He fits the bill perfectly and obviously they have got Saliba coming next summer, who is a young up and coming player. He is strong and aggressive too.

"Starting from a base with those two guys and you’re in business because they are a lot more powerful than what is already there and a lot younger. That way Arsenal would be giving themselves a chance."
