The January transfer window is now just a few weeks away from opening for business but there is a very slim time frame for business to be completed.
Arsenal are usually quiet in the mid-season window but a woeful campaign so far has seen the Gunners flounder in mid-table, way below the level that they aspire to be.
As such, business could be completed during the January transfer window to bolster the squad - although that likely depends on whether a new permanent manager is appointed.
Despite Freddie Ljungberg only being in the role as a caretaker, there are already plenty of rumours floating around and we have gathered some of the latest pieces of gossip for you below.
Aubameyang wants to sign deal
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is keen on extending his Arsenal contract beyond 2021 but only if the club's new manager can convince him the right players will be signed in future windows.
Former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood was the man to make the claim, telling Optus Sport that he believes Arsenal is a great club for Aubameyang.
"I think he wants to sign but he’s going to watch very, very carefully at what happens between now and the appointment of the new manager.

“[If it is] someone he’s happy with and they convince him they’re going to move into the transfer market and get better players to the football club, I think he stays. I think it’s a great club for him."
Arsenal and Leicester lead Dennis chase
Premier League duo Arsenal and Leicester City are leading the chase for Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Dennis but plenty of clubs are in the hunt for his services.
Reports in Nigeria, cited by Sport Witness , state a number of clubs are keeping tabs on the 22-year-old, with Manchester United, Manchester City, Lyon, Fenerbache and Monaco also keen.
However, Arsenal and Leicester have been named as the two most likely destinations for the forward, who caught the eye in the Champions League this season by scoring a brace against Real Madrid.

Capable of playing out wide and through the middle, Dennis' versatility is an asset but he would face plenty of competition for a starting berth in North London.
Arsenal increase January budget
Arsenal prepared to raise their budget for the January transfer window following a woeful start to the season, which has seen the Gunners fall off the pace in the hunt for a return to the Champions League.
Freddie Ljungberg secured the first win of his caretaker tenure against West Ham but problems in the side still persist, with improvements in the squad required.
Despite a new boss yet to be appointed at the Emirates Stadium, The Athletic state Arsenal's board are prepared to provide transfer funds for the beginning of 2020 and Josh Kroenke intends to be more involved with the running of the club.
With the likes of Shkodran Mustafi and Granit Xhaka linked with an exit, their transfer kitty could be bolstered further in the New Year.
