Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Aubameyang price-tag, Kokcu bid expected, Lacazette to Inter

The summer transfer window could be a defining period in Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal reign, with the Spaniard looking to bolster his squad for his first full season in charge.

Arteta took over from Unai Emery, after his countryman was sacked earlier in the season, and it has been a promising start for the former Gunners captain.

However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, spending could be limited for Arsenal, with the majority of clubs being heavily hit by the financial impact the virus has had on football.

It looks like Arteta is still looking at ways to improve his squad, though, and here are the best Arsenal transfer rumours from today.

Aubameyang update

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium in the summer.

However, The Sun are reporting that the Gunners will keep their star striker if they are unable to get more than £20m for him.

Aubameyang’s contract in north London expires at the end of next season, meaning the Gunners could be tempted to cash in on him now.

But according to the report, Arsenal will not sell the Gabon striker if the right money does not come their way, despite the risk of losing him on a free transfer this time next year.

Inter interested in Lacazette if Martinez leaves

Italian giants Inter Milan could look to sign Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette should Lautaro Martinez leave the San Siro in the summer, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish outlet is reporting that Inter see the French striker as an ideal replacement for their Argentine forward, who has been linked with a move to Barcelona.

Antonio Conte’s side are set to take around £100m for Martinez, if he does indeed leave, with some of that money potentially heading the Gunners’ way for Lacazette.

The 29-year-old has scored seven goals in 20 Premier League appearances for Arsenal so far this season.

Kokcu bid expected to be launched

Arsenal are expected to submit a bid for Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu, according to Voetbal International, via the Evening Standard.

The Dutch outlet is reporting that Feyenoord technical director Frank Arnesen is willing to sell Kokcu in order to raise funds for the Eredivisie club.

Arsenal have been considering a move for the 21-year-old “for a long time”, according to the report and could make an offer in the next few weeks.

Voetbal International also claims Arteta has been an admirer of Kokcu ever since he was Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City.
