Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Aubameyang demands, Man City raid, Torres competition

Mikel Arteta will be looking to get down to work with Arsenal during the transfer window this summer.

The Gunners boss will be aiming to put his stamp on his side, with improvements a must after a disappointing season.

Arsenal remain in the hunt for European football, but with just seven games to go, it’s looking like a big ask as they currently sit 10th in the Premier League table.

Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming from the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta on Thomas Partey and transfer plans

Aubameyang’s demands

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has requested a minimum three-year contract worth up to £250k-a-week to stay at Arsenal.

The forward has now entered the final 12 months of his existing agreement with talks underway over an extension, according to ESPN.

Aubameyang has been linked with moves to Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan in the last few weeks after talks appeared to stall over an extension.

Stones eyed

Manchester City defender John Stones is being eyed by Arsenal as Mikel Arteta looks for defensive reinforcements this summer.

The England international has fallen out of favour with City boss Pep Guardiola and is said to be considering his options, claims a report from The Sun.

However, that same report goes on to add that the Gunners are likely to face competition from Everton for Stones’ signature in the upcoming transfer window.

Torres competition

Chelsea have entered the race for defender Pau Torres this summer, claims Sportsmail.

Arsenal, Barcelona, Manchester United and Manchester City are also reportedly interested in securing Torres’ signature in the upcoming transfer window.

While the report also claims that the 23-year-old has three years left on his deal alongside a £45m release clause.
