Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Arsenal swoop for Lemar, January loan deal, Dembele targeted

With the January transfer window around the corner, Mikel Arteta will get his first proper look at his Arsenal team on Boxing Day.

The Gunners travel to out-of-form Bournemouth, who themselves have struggled in recent months.

However, it's just one win in 12 matches across all competitions and Arteta will be hoping to see a distinct improvement at the Vitality Stadium on Thursday.

If not, the Spaniard may look to the transfer window to reshape Arsenal's squad in a hope for more consistent results.

So, with that in mind, here is a full round-up of today's Arsenal transfer rumours.

Arsenal eye Lemar swoop

Arsenal have set their sights on a January bid for Atletico Madrid winger Thomas Lemar.

The World Cup winner has struggled for form in La Liga this season, failing to score in 15 league appearances.

A change of scenery could be the perfect tonic to revitalise his career and, according to  ESPN,  Arsenal are ready to pounce.

Whether Lemar's potential arrival could have consequences for the futures of Alexandre Lacazette or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who have both been linked away, remains to be seen.

Arsenal chase Dembele deal

Arsenal have identified Lyon striker  Moussa Dembele  as their number one transfer target for January.

The former Celtic and Fulham forward has impressed in Ligue 1, scoring 10 goals in 18 league appearances this season.

Manchester United have been previously linked with the Frenchman but le10sport report that it's Arsenal that want to sign the 23-year-old.

Dembele is seen as a younger alternative upfront, should Aubameyang leave this summer.

Arteta to sign Juventus midfield maestro

Arteta has identified the man to change Arsenal's midfield fortunes and is chasing the signature of Adrien Rabiot.

The former Paris-Saint Germain anchor signed for Juventus on a free transfer in the summer but has featured just 12 times for the Serie A giants.

As a result, a loan move could be on the cards for the Frenchman and according to French outlet,  FootMercato  believes Arsenal are in the running.

This, of course, comes with speculation surrounding the future of Granit Xhaka, who could leave the club in January.
