Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Ajax attacker eyed, Man United join Gabriel Magalhaes race

This summer looks set to be an interesting one for Arsenal.

Whilst the Gunners will likely not have a large amount of money to spend due to the impact the coronavirus has had on football's finances, Mikel Arteta is clearly keen to put his own stamp on the playing staff.

That could well mean players leaving in order for money to be raised for transfers.

With that in mind, here are the latest Arsenal transfer rumours from across the morning.

Manchester United want Gabriel

Manchester United are keeping Arsenal target, Gabriel, on their radar as they look to strengthen their defence.

The Brazilian defender has been heavily linked with the Gunners, with Arteta hopeful of shaking up his defensive options.

However, according to the Evening Standard, United are now pursuing a move for Gabriel for their own backline reshuffle.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to ring the changes in his backline with Phil Jones, Marcus Rojo and Chris Smalling all expected to leave.

Promes targeted

Arsenal are eyeing a £25million move for Ajax ace Quincy Promes.

The Gunners were linked with the Dutch forward last year following some excellent displays.

Promes scored 16 goals and added five assists in 28 games before the COVID-19 pandemic ended the Eredivisie season prematurely.

The 28-year-old would be keen on a move, report The Sun.

Ceballos blow

Real Madrid want to keep hold of Arsenal target Dani Ceballos.

The Spaniard has been the heartbeat of Arteta's side since his arrival alongside Granit Xhaka in central midfield.

However, AS claim that Real are happy to give Ceballos a look in pre-season before determining whether to sanction another loan or a sale.

Ceballos has previously stated he wants a chance to prove his worth at Madrid having seen first-team opportunities limited since his arrival.
