Arsenal will be looking to turn their dismal Premier League season around – and quickly.
The Gunners have won just four of their 14 league fixtures this term and sit four points above the relegation zone.
Mikel Arteta is a man under pressure and could look to the January window as a short-term fix to his current problems.

Maitland-Niles wanted
Atletico Madrid are reportedly ready to make a bid for Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the January transfer window.
With Kieran Tripper set to miss 13 games for Atleti, following his 10-week ban for breaching betting rules, Sky Sports are reporting the La Liga giants will test Arsenal’s resolve by making a move for the 23-year-old.
Maitland-Niles was linked with a summer exit from the Emirates stadium, with Wolverhampton Wanderers interested, but stayed to fight for his place under Arteta. With just four starts in the Premier League this season, though, Maitland-Niles could re-think his options come January.
Brighton boss talks Bissouma
Brighton & Hove Albion boss Graham Potter has said there have been no approaches for midfielder Yves Bissouma, amid Arsenal transfer links.
The Gunners are one of a number of clubs linked with the 24-year-old, according to talkSPORT, with Real Madrid and Liverpool also said to be sniffing round.
However, Potter claimed there have been no offers just yet.
“There have been no approaches,” he said.
“As I’ve said before, just because it’s in the newspaper, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true. My focus on Yves is how I can help him improve and I think he’s still got some improvement to do.”
Aouar interest cooled
Houssem Aouar was the Arsenal transfer saga of the summer.
The Lyon midfielder was heavily linked with a move to north London right up to the deadline, but no move was forthcoming.
With January just around the corner, the Aouar rumours have already started, with reports claiming interest in the 22-year-old was to be reignited.
However, The Athletic claims Arsenal’s interest in the France international has now cooled and they won’t be making their move.
