Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Advanced Willian talks, Martinez discussions, Ginter decision

Arsenal ended their season on a high following the victory in the FA Cup final against Chelsea, which provided the added bonus of Europa League football next season.

The Gunners now have just a few weeks until their new season begins with a return to Wembley Stadium to face Premier League winners Liverpool in the Community Shield final.

Plenty of business could be completed before that date and a host of names have already been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Here, we have gathered some of the latest snippets surrounding the Gunners.

'Very advanced' Willian talks

Arsenal are in 'very advanced' talks to sign Willian after he rejected a two-year deal from Chelsea and will become a free agent, France Football states.

The Gunners have regularly been linked with a move for the Brazil international and it's now stated the chances of seeing him line-up at the Emirates Stadium next season are 'thickening'.

It has been reported that he has snubbed offers from Chelsea, showing that the Blues are keen to retain his services, and his experience could be a significant boost for Mikel Arteta's side.

Arsenal are reported to be offering Willian a three-year deal, which is what he wants, and is better than the two years both Madrid and United sent him.

Emiliano Martinez discussions

Arsenal are set for discussions with Emiliano Martinez and his representatives regarding his future at the club, where clarity over his role in the first-team will be sought.

As reported by football.London, Arsenal are keen to extend the 27-year-old's contract, which is currently due to expire in 2022, but the Argentine wants assurances over his role.

He has excelled in the final months of the campaign for Arsenal following Bernd Leno's season-ending injury and was visibly emotional following Saturday's FA Cup win.

Newly-promoted Leeds United are among the clubs that have been attributed with an interest in the South American.

Matthias Ginter decision

Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter has admitted he is flattered by Arsenal's reported interest but has vowed to stay with the Bundesliga side.

The Gunners' hunt for defensive additions has seen a wealth of players linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, with Ginter among them.

However, speaking to Kicker, he vowed to stay with the Foals: "I will definitely stay in Gladbach. Of course I heard about the inquiries and was pleased with the appreciation (from other clubs), but I also emphasized how well I am at Gladbach.

"The current team has great potential and the coach means a huge added value for us.

"The club is in the process of building something with the great fanbase. I also have big goals at this club.”
