Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: £36m Marc Roca deal eyed, Aubameyang hope, Gabriel blow

Arsenal have struggled this season as they sit ninth in the Premier League with three matches left.

Mikel Arteta has seemingly improved the club at times but the results don't exactly tell that story.

One thing is certain, recruitment is needed at the Gunners this summer in the transfer window.

This is the time of the year when the rumour mill goes into overdrive and here is the latest round-up of gossip.

Arteta wants £36m man

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen on signing Marc Roca, according to La Razon.

The Gunners have been regularly linked with the midfielder and now the reports in Spain suggest a move could become a reality.

Arteta reportedly sees Roca as the perfect midfield partner for Thomas Partey, who Arsenal have also been linked with. Roca has a £36 million release clause in his Espanyol contract.

Arsenal have Aubameyang hope

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang still wants to land a move to Barcelona this summer but the Gunners remain hopeful that such a transfer will not come to fruition, per Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona are believed to see Aubameyang as a cheaper alternative to Lautaro Martinez, but the Spanish giants would prefer to land the Inter Milan star.

Arsenal are now in a position where Barcelona signing Martinez could be the one thing that enables them to retain Aubameyang.

Arsenal transfer blow

Gabriel Magalhaes is set to hand both Arsenal and Everton a transfer blow, according to L'Equipe.

The 22-year-old midfielder is said to have five offers on the table to leave Lille.

But the Brazilian is now most likely to exit the Ligue 1 outfit to join Serie A side Napoli, per the report from France.
