Just one more day of the January transfer window remains and Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta will be desperate to add more faces to his ranks before Friday’s 11pm deadline.
After completing the loan signing of Flamengo defender Pablo Mari on Wednesday, the Gunners are hopeful of getting another deal for a defender done before the bell in the shape of Southampton right-back Cedric Soares.
With deadline day fast approaching and no doubt one or two twists in store, it could be an exciting ending to the window for Gunners supporters.
Here, we round up the day’s latest Arsenal transfer news.
Jimenez would be 'interested' in Gunners switch
The Daily Star are reporting that Arsenal could be forced into a deadline day move for Wolves striker Raul Jimenez, should Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave the club.
Aubameyang has been attracting interest from Spanish giants Barcelona over the past few days and if he was to leave the Emirates Stadium it would leave a huge hole needing to be filled.
And it appears that boss Arteta would turn to Wolves ace Jimenez as Aubameyang's replacement, and the Mexican has claimed that he would be ‘interested’ in making the switch to North London.
Gunners tracking former Spurs youngster
Both Arsenal and Wolves are ready to battle it out to secure the signature of young England star Noni Madueke, who currently plays for Dutch side PSV.
Madueke, who is just 17-years of age, started his career with Tottenham before moving to Holland back in 2018.
But he could be in line for a return to England according to the Daily Mail, with both Arsenal and Wolves keen.
Ceballos' exit plan
Gunners midfielder Dani Ceballos - currently on loan from Real Madrid - is hopeful of cutting his loan spell at the Emirates Stadium short.
Ceballos has fallen out of favour in North London since Arteta took over the reins from former manager Unai Emery last month.
It is reported by TEAMtalk that Ceballos wants his future resolved quickly so that he could possibly head off elsewhere before the window shuts.
