Latest Arsenal transfer news: Gunners target Felipe Anderson loan move, Coutinho latest

Arsenal are on the brink of starting their first full season under Mikel Arteta, as the Gunners kick off their campaign in the Community Shield against Liverpool next weekend.

Mikel Arteta's side also learnt their path for the Premier League campaign on Thursday with the fixture release, with back-to-back London derbies against Fulham and West Ham to begin the campaign.

That is followed by a tricky run that lasts until the end of October, which has increased the need for further additions in the transfer market.

A host of players continue to be linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium and we have gathered some of the latest links and reports concerning the Gunners.

Arsenal Premier League fixture list

Philippe Coutinho boost

Arsenal target Philippe Coutinho has refused to rule out an exit from Barcelona this summer.

The Brazilian will return to the Nou Camp after helping Bayern Munich win the Champions League.

With Ronald Koeman now in charge there has been suggestions Coutinho will get another chance to impress the new Barcelona boss.

“Of course, I have to go back to Barcelona and then we'll see what happens," he said.

"I haven't really thought about it much, I've only been focused on the final.

"What I can say is that I really want to work hard to have a great year, but let's see what happens.”

Fiorentina target Torreira

Fiorentina have made Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira their 'priority' in the transfer market this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness.

The Uruguay international has regularly been touted with a return to Italian football and Mikel Arteta is reportedly open to cashing-in on the South American.

Fiorentina are said to have been in talks for a deal for Torreira for a number of weeks, though it's not mentioned whether those discussions have been with the Gunners or simply Torreira's representatives.

Anderson interest

Arsenal want to sign West Ham winger Felipe Anderson on loan.

The Gunners are keen to add another wide man to Mikel Arteta's squad and have tried to sign the Brazilian temporarily.

The Telegraph report that West Ham will only allow Anderson to leave on a permanent deal.

The 27-year-old fell out of favour under David Moyes at the end of last season.
