Mikel Arteta put his Arsenal squad through their paces at London Colney today as the Gunners trained for Saturday's Premier League return against Manchester City.
Arsenal have started the 2020/21 season strongly with three wins from their opening four games to spark early hopes of a potential title challenge.
Those ambitions were dampened somewhat by a 3-1 defeat at champions Liverpool back in September, but a push for Champions League qualification looks within this squad's capabilities if early form is anything to go by.
Arteta's side have already developed something of a reputation for stepping up in big games, having beaten Man City and Chelsea en route to winning the FA Cup last season.
The Spanish coach now goes up against his former boss, Pep Guardiola, once again as City host the Gunners at the Etihad on Saturday evening.
Arteta's £45million transfer deadline day signing Thomas Partey could make his debut, and was fully involved in training on Friday as he battled his new team-mates.
Club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, meanwhile, looked in high spirits as usual - and Arsenal will again be looking for inspiration from him after the forward's two goals against City in last season's FA Cup semi-final win at Wembley.
