Latest 14 day coronavirus incidence rates per county as one county amid lockdown fears

Carlow now has the highest 14 day incident rate outside the three counties currently under restrictions in Ireland.

In figures released to the Irish Mirror by the Department of Health, Carlow has gone from10.5 to 31.6 in the space of four days.

The latest figures are valid for the two weeks up to Wednesday, August 12 and don't take into account the 92 new cases announced on Thursday.

Locals around Ireland have been monitoring their numbers closely amid fears more regional lockdowns will take place.

Kildare's rate remains the worst and has risen from 138.4 up to 146.1 since the data up until August 8.

Dublin's rate has remained stable and is now at 11.6.

Clare, 21.9, and Cavan, 14.4, have both gone back down slightly in the last four days.

The incidence rates in the other two restrictions hit counties of Laois and Offaly remain high.

Below is a list of of incidence rates per 100,000 people in each county in the Republic of Ireland from 29/07/2020 to midnight 12/08/2020.

Counties with less than five cases in that period have not been given a rate - Ireland's overall rate now stands at 19.

The Department of Health has not said at what rate restrictions need to be reimplemented.
