Scots are being urged to refresh their internet webpage if they are unable to order coronavirus lateral flow tests (LFTs) on the UK Government website.
Scottish Government ministers and health experts have asked people to take a test before leaving the house in a bid to prevent the spread of the virus.
Cases of the Omicron variant shot up over the festive period with Scotland recording its highest ever daily increase since the pandemic began in March 2020.
LFTs have been in short supply during Christmas and New Year with many struggling to get packets delivered, however UK Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi said people struggling to get lateral flow tests "should just refresh" their webpage.

With schools across Scotland returning this week, education secretary Shirley-Anne Somerville urged secondary school students to take a lateral flow test either the night before lessons start back or on the morning of their return.
With youngsters aged 12 to 15 years old now eligible for their second doses of coronavirus vaccine, pupils in this age group are also being encouraged to come forward for their jabs.
Zahawi told Sky News: "One of the things that we've done is increased the supply of lateral flow tests.
"It was a hundred million a month, now it is three hundred million a month and the deliveries, so we've trebled the deliveries from about 300,000 a day to 900,000 a day.
"The supply will absolutely be there if people feel that they can't get on the site they should just refresh their webpage and it is pretty much delivering with that additional supply coming through."
Somerville said pupils in Scotland should take covid tests twice a week to prevent the spread of Omicron in schools.
She added: "It is our absolute priority to keep schools safely open and minimise further disruption to learning.
"To achieve that, we need the help of the whole school community."
She said that taking lateral flow tests before returning to school, and then continuing to test twice a week, could help prevent Covid outbreaks.
