Late-night protesters storm Bristol city centre roads

Late-night protesters have stormed Bristol city centre this evening causing delays.

Campaigners were seen marching along Old Market Street towards Castle Park at around 9:30pm on Wednesday, September 18.

It's unclear which group arranged the demonstration that saw dozens of people waving anti-fascist placards.

Vehicles were temporarily held while protesters marched around Old Market roundabout.

Although mobile phone footage from the scene shows one motorcyclist driving straight through the crowd.

A witness said: "Just got caught up in protest at Old Market roundabout.

"30 or so people, all wearing black hoodies. Loud music playing, some on bikes and I think a mobility scooter.

"Traffic already bad because of road closures."

Earlier today Bristol Live reported about mysterious posters which were plastered around Easton calling on people to resist immigration raids.

Along with an image of a Home Office immigration enforcement van, the poster's caption reads: "Have you seen this van? Tell us where. Stop immigration raids."
