Late Late Toy Show: How to apply as Ryan Tubridy announces on RTE Radio 1 that auditions are open early

Despite fears that the beloved Late Late Toy Show may not go ahead this year, host Ryan Tubridy has assured kids across the country that it will happen even if it means making some changes.

The coronavirus pandemic has thrown many events in doubt but the RTE star has insisted that bosses are working at finding a way to ensure the show goes ahead.

And it looks as though Tubridy is staying true to his word as it was announced today that auditions are open to appear in the 2020 Christmas show.

Speaking on his RTE Radio One show this morning, Tubs said: "With the Toy Show coming down the tracks on the last Friday of November what we want to do is we want to get as many applications in as possible.

"Normally we open the floodgates in September but today we're opening the flood gates now."

"If you're a child and think I can sing, I can dance, I can do mimicry, I can do magic, I am the chosen one in the entertainment world, then get in touch."

"You just have to be talented, smart, funny, a bit of craic. You can be introverted, extroverted, upstairs, downstairs, inside, outside it doesn't matter all you have to do is be a child."

Show bosses added they are looking for anything from solo singers to choirs, dance troupes to drama groups or just a kid who has something.

Anyone hoping to apply simply has to fill out the audition form here and upload a video of you doing what you do best be it singing, dancing or just having a chat.
