Late K-Pop singer Goo Hara's family plan space for her fans to pay their respects

Late K-Pop singer Goo Hara's family have made space for her fans to mourn her death.

Goo was found dead aged 28 at her home in Gangnam's Cheongdam neighborhood, according to local news sources.

In May, the star had apologised to her legion of followers for trying to take her own life.

Her family have now unveiled her admirers can pay their respects in Hall 1 at St. Mary’s Funeral Hall in the Gangnam District on November 27.

Family and friends will pay tribute to the late star at a separate, private location.

In a statement, agency Production Ogi said: "Fans and members of the press will be able to pay their respects to [Goo Hara] in Hall 1 at St. Mary’s Funeral Hall in the Gangnam District starting from 3 p.m. today to midnight on November 27.

"In accordance with the wishes of the family, who hoped to hold a quiet funeral, we have arranged for a separate location [for fans] to pay their respects.

"We are overwhelmed with sorrow at having to relay the news of [Goo Hara’s] passing to so many people."

A grieving fan wrote: "Oh my this is a.... terrible news. Koo Hara found dead - she was one of the closest friends of Sulli, who have also passed away recently."

Goo made her solo debut in 2015 with the EP Alohara (Can You Feel It?) after the break-up of Kara , which was made up of singers Park Gyu-ri and Han Seung-yeon.

It was reported she tried to take her own life back in May.

Goo was also in a very public row with her ex-boyfriend Choi Jong-Bum, who she accused of blackmailing her with sex tapes the pair had made.

Fans were sympathetic to the star citing the Me Too movement with their messages.

In May this year, Goo, 28, was found unconscious by her manager at her home in Seoul’s Gangnam district.

The day before, she had posted a one-word message on her Instagram account: “Goodbye".

Later when she was recovering in hospital she apologised: “I am sorry for causing concerns and a commotion.

"In terms of health, I am recovering … I had been in agony over a number of overlapping issues. But from now on, I will steel my heart and try to show up healthy.”

Goo was close friends with tragic star Sulli who died in October this year after being targeted by online trolls.

Before her death she had just completed a tour of Japan with new solo material, including Midnight Queen.
