Latavius Murray says goodbye to the Vikings

The New Orleans Saints reached an agreement with former Minnesota Vikings running back Latavius Murray, settling on a four-year, $14.4 million contract. That puts his time with Minnesota in rearview, even if Murray can’t sign the contract until the NFL’s new fiscal year begins on Wednesday, March 13. Still, Murray was quick to send a final message to the Vikings and their fans from his official Instagram account:

Thank you to the Vikings organization for giving me an opportunity to do what I love to do. My time in Minnesota has been unforgettable because of the fans, the community and most importantly because of the guys in that locker room. Thank you for being the birthplace of my first child and spoiling my family with those Minnesota nice vibes. Nothing but love from the Tay (Train) … Skol Vikes

It’s clear that the Saints are getting a player who doesn’t take things for granted. He should fit right in with the strong locker room culture that Ingram helped construct.
