Last time every Premier League and Championship club lifted trophy with Everton bottom

Everton are in real danger of being relegated from the top flight on English football for the first time since 1951.

Wednesday night saw the Toffees suffer a sobering defeat to drop rivals Burnley, despite having led at half-time. Manager Frank Lampard insisted afterwards that his side can survive although their wretched form belies that confidence. He said: "I think all the teams around us in the table have similar issues, whether it's home or away.

"Everything's challenging, no matter this result. The challenge is to stay in the league, we've got nine games to do it, 27 points. We lost points that we should have gained because it wasn't a game to lose for us."

As well as their current struggles, Everton are also in the midst of a long, long trophy drought. Mirror Football has looked at the last time each club in the top two tiers lifted a trophy. This includes league titles, domestic or European trophies and play-off final victories.

The anomaly of this is for those teams who have been promoted in second spot which is not classed as winning a trophy, whereas play-off winners are. For Everton, you have to go back 27 years for the last time they lifted a piece of silverware. That was the 1995 Community Shield which they won after beating Blackburn Rovers.

Of the 44 current sides in the Premier League and Championship, Nottingham Forest are the only other side not to have won a trophy since the Millennium. Their last success was the First Division title back in 1998. Liverpool are the most recent winners on this list, having lifted February's EFL Cup.
