Last night's €2.5m EuroMillions ticket revealed to have been sold in Dublin

Lotto players in Dublin have been urged to check their tickets after it was revealed that last night’s winning €2.5 million EuroMillions ticket was sold in the capital.

Unfortunately the player fell just one number short of winning €190 million which would have been one of the biggest ever lottery jackpot prizes in European history.

The National Lottery is now appealing for all its players to check their tickets, particularly in Dublin, to see if they have won the €2.5 million prize.

The winning EuroMillions numbers are: 06, 09, 35, 41, 44 and the two lucky stars were: 06 & 09.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “While this lucky player just fell short of the whopping €190 million EuroMillions jackpot, €2,521,015 is still a huge amount of money.

“We are encouraging all of our players in Dublin to check their tickets carefully and if you do happen to be this lucky ticket holder please do keep the ticket safe, sign the back of it and contact our prize claims team on 01 836 4444 and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize in the National Lottery Winner’s Room.

“Irish EuroMillions players seem to be getting closer and closer to hitting the jackpot.

“There was no winner of the capped €190 million jackpot on offer which means, for the first time in the history of the game, we have a ‘must be won’ event next Tuesday, which means that if there is no winner of the jackpot prize, the entire jackpot will be shared at the next prize tier at which there are winners.

“Hopefully our players in Ireland can go one better this Tuesday have its 15th EuroMillions jackpot winner. The record EuroMillions jackpot win was claimed last February by the Naul Family Syndicate from North County Dublin who collected a cheque for €175.4 million.”
