Last-minute fantasy football thoughts for Week 10

Week 10 of the NFL season could be a challenging one when it comes to fantasy football. Six teams (the Broncos, Patriots, Eagles, Redskins, Jaguars and Texans) have byes. Some fantasy owners will have to reach deep into their benches.

With that in mind, here are nine random last-minute fantasy football tips for Week 10.

9. Another Russell Wilson?

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Kyler Murray was handed a nice compliment by Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians. The former Arizona coach called Murray a faster version of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who is having an MVP-type season. If Murray is anything like Wilson, the Bucs are in trouble on Sunday. Wilson threw for 378 yards and five touchdowns against the Bucs last week.

8. Start a New York defense

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

It doesn’t matter if you go with the Jets or Giants, who oppose each other this week. Both defenses will produce some fantasy points because both offenses are turnover machines. The Jets’ Sam Darnold and the Giants’ Daniel Jones have combined for 17 interceptions.

7. Marlon Mack could hang 200 rushing yards on the Dolphins

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Indianapolis Colts running back is having a fine season with 679 rushing yards. But his season is about to get better on Sunday against Miami. The Dolphins are allowing 150.8 rushing yards per game.

6. Aaron Donald has come to life

Steve Flynn-USA TODAY Sports

If you have the Rams defense, use it against the Steelers. After a slow start, Los Angeles’ star defensive tackle has been on fire lately. The Defensive Player of the Year in each of the past two seasons, Donald has collected four sacks and forced two fumbles in the past three weeks. It could be a long day for Pittsburgh quarterback Mason Rudolph.

5 .Derrick Henry will top 100 rushing yards

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

The Tennessee Titans running back has registered only one 100-yard rushing game this season. That was in Week 4 against Atlanta. But Henry is likely to have his second 100-yard game of the season on Sunday, because he has a good matchup. The Chiefs are allowing an average of 137 rushing yards per game.

4. Devin Singletary will continue to emerge

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills running back missed three games because of a hamstring injury. But the rookie is right where the Bills hoped he would be at this time of year. The plan all along was to start him off slowly behind Frank Gore and increase his workload as the season went on. That’s how it played out last week as Singletary got 23 touches for 140 total yards against the Redskins. Singletary probably will put up similar numbers against the Browns on Sunday.

3. Kirk Cousins will regress against Dallas

Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has come on strong since Week 5, throwing 13 touchdowns and just one interception. But Cousins’ track record against the Cowboys isn’t pretty. He’s 1-6 as a starter against Dallas. Vikings running back Dalvin Cook needs a big game to keep the pressure off Cousins.

2. Mitchell Trubisky will have a big game, seriously

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears quarterback has taken a beating from fans and media. Rightfully so, because he’s played horribly. But he temporarily will silence his critics against Detroit on Sunday. The Lions rank No. 31 in total defense.

1. Mark Ingram will top last week’s performance

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens running back had 115 yards on 15 carries last week against New England. He’ll top that total with ease against Cincinnati. The Bengals have allowed a league-worst 1,421 rushing yards. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson also might go over 100 rushing yards. The Ravens had 269 rushing yards against the Bengals in their previous meeting.
