Overall I really enjoyed this book, at the beginning it seemed to be a simple story of a young girl, Flora, trying to make a living for herself in a medieval future, until in the later half of the book where a dark twist in the plot is revealed, characters which seemed innocent became much the opposite. This dramatic change in events kept the book interesting and the fast-moving pace meant that the story developed to its climax quickly, disallowing me to get bored with the plot.
However, although interesting, the constant falling into trouble of Flora and having to get herself out again became repetitive towards the end but for me, this was the only negative in the whole novel.
