Last day to get Covid-19 vaccine in Forth Valley College's Falkirk campus

Today is the last day to get a Covid-19 vaccine at Forth Valley College's Falkirk campus.

However, those aged 16 or over can attend other drop-in centres in the area for their first or second jabs if eligible.

From Saturday 14 August, the new location in the town will be units one and two of Falkirk Community Hospital.

The nearby University of Stirling and Clackmannanshire Community Healthcare Centre will also be operating as drop-in centres.

They will be open between 8.30am-7pm and all will have the AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines but Moderna will only be available at some.

As of Friday August 6, all 16 to 17-years-old can self-register to get an appointment arranged for them via text or email.

Since Tuesday August 10, all young people 16 to 17 years of age in NHS Forth Valley are able to get vaccinated at all drop-in clinics.

They must be offered the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, according to Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) advice.

Coronavirus vaccines will also be available at Falkirk Stadium this Saturday.

Between 10am and 6pm on Saturday August 14, anyone can 'Nab a Jab' before the game between Falkirk FC and the Airdrie at 3pm.

A Covid-19 testing centre is also available at the stadium for those who do not have any symptoms.

Clackmannanshire Community Healthcare Centre will only run on Saturday August 14 and Sunday August 15 and the following weekend.
