Last dates for Christmas deliveries from Argos, Currys, Amazon and other stores

If you are looking to order some Christmas gifts from retailers, it may be worth checking their delivery dates.

Shops are often bombarded with last minute gift orders ahead of Christmas Day. While some stores are offering extra late deliveries, others have warned shoppers to prepare ahead of time.

Some require orders as early as December 19 for guaranteed arrival on Christmas Day. However others, including Amazon and Argos, are allowing people to place their final orders as late as December 24, reports The Mirror.

Here’s a list of the UK’s most popular stores, alongside their delivery costs, so that you know where and when to order for guaranteed Christmas delivery.

Argos

Argos is offering an impressive late delivery option for last minute shoppers, allowing customers to order until 1pm on Christmas Eve for same-day fast track delivery before 6pm. But delivery slots are handed out on a first come first served basis, so once you’ve chosen your items, it’s best to book a slot as soon as possible.

Argos’ fast track standard delivery costs start from £3.95. And if you’re using Argos’ fast track same day delivery, it’ll cost £5.95.

Currys

If you’re shopping at Currys this Christmas, your available delivery options will depend on what you’re ordering. Shoppers wanting free delivery will have to make their orders by December 18 to get the item before Christmas.

If you’re buying a big box item, delivery costs start from £20 and will have to be ordered by December 21. Smaller items on the other hand, can be ordered until December 22 if you’re using its paid delivery service.

Disney

If you want to get your hands on some Disney items before Christmas, you’ll have to get your orders in by December 19 for standard UK delivery, costing £3.95 per order. For express delivery, your order should be received by midday on December 22, but this will cost slightly more at £5.95.

Amazon

If at any point you’re pushed for time on gift buying this Christmas, Amazon will be accepting same day deliveries until as late as the morning of Christmas Eve. Shoppers can also benefit from next day deliveries right up until the evening of Friday December 23. This means your items will arrive a day before Christmas.

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, both delivery options will be free of charge. But those without a Prime membership will have to pay anywhere from £3.95-£5.49 for next day delivery, or £5.99 for same day delivery.

ASOS

ASOS shoppers order up until December 23 - but if you want your items before Christmas, you’ll need to select the UK next day delivery option. Premier customers can get their next day delivery free all year round.

The annual subscription for this costs £11.95 when you spend a minimum of £10 on the site. If you’re not an ASOS Premier customer, next day delivery will cost £5.95.

Pretty Little Thing

Next day deliveries at Pretty Little Thing will be running until December 23. If you’re a PLT Royalty member, you’ll get this for free, otherwise you can buy the PLT Royalty annual subscription, which is currently on offer for £9.99. Those without a subscription will have to pay the regular £5.99 for next day delivery.

Dunelm

If you’re planning to shop at Dunelm this Christmas, you’ll have to be quick, as delivery deadlines will start from December 19. If you’re ordering using the standard delivery option you’ll have to place your order on or before Monday, December 19, to receive it in time for Christmas.

If your order exceeds £49, you’ll get free delivery - provided it isn’t a piece of furniture or large item. For orders under £49 standard delivery costs £3.95.

Dunelm’s £5.95 express delivery should see orders placed on or before Thursday December 22. For a large furniture or large item delivery, costing £9.95, orders should be made on or before Tuesday, December 20.

The White Company

The White Company has a standard delivery of 3–5 days, and is currently not experiencing any delays. This means shoppers should order at least 5 days ahead of their expected arrival date if they want to guarantee their items arrive in time for Christmas.

Fortnum & Mason

Fortnum & Mason are not offering any next day delivery options in December. But for a named day delivery, shoppers should order by December 21 to receive their items by December 23.

For standard delivery, orders should be placed by December 16 for arrival on December 23. If you want to receive your item on the weekend before Christmas, you should order on December 15 for it to arrive by Saturday December 17 - and for Sunday, orders should be placed by December 16 for arrival on December 18.
