Las Vegas moves to second-highest COVID-19 concentration among NFL cities

In the past few weeks, the NFLPA has been tracking the COVID-19 concentration in every NFL city. When the tracker first appeared, Las Vegas had the sixth-highest COVID-19 concentration among the 30 NFL cities with a concentration of 30.66 cases per 100,000 people. Since then it has quietly moved up the list.

As of the latest figures, Las Vegas is now second behind only Miami in COVID-19 concentration. Their number has moved up nearly ten points to 40.07.

Miami has had far and away the highest concentration since the start of the tracker. Currently, they sit at 75.97 cases per 100,000 people. The rest of the top 13 have all been cities in the southern portion of the country. The exception being Kansas City which was just outside that bubble, but which is now at 11th.

Thursday the Raiders placed two players on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Defensive end Maxx Crosby and running back Rod Smith both tested positive, which means they could be out a while. The team started camp with running back Devontae Booker on the reserve/COVID-19 list and he has since been cleared and activated.
