Larry Fitzgerald wins AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am again

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver has done it again. For the second time in three years, he has won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament.

He was paired with pro Kevin Streelman, with whom he has been paired for the third year in a row. The duo finished the tournament with a round of six-under-par to end up at -33 for the tournament.

Streelman and Fitzgerald finished five strokes ahead of NFL Hall of Famer Steve Young and pro Phil Mickelson. Fitzgerald had a one-stroke lead heading into Sunday’s final round.

Fitzgerald, paired with Streelman, won the event in 2018 as well.

With the victory, he accomplished several milestones.

As noted on the official team site by Darren Urban, Fitzgerald became the first black amateur to win the tournament, which has been held every year since 1937.

Streelman and Fitzgerald are only the third tandem to win it twice and the first to do it since 1980-1981. Fitzgerald is only the eighth amateur win it twice.

This just continues to add to the many things Fitzgerald does well. He is one of the greatest to ever play the game. He might be the most respected player in the league. He has been named Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year. He just won the “Anything but Ordinary” player of the year award. Now he is a two-time golf champion.

The man is truly amazing.
