Larry Fitzgerald heard N’Keal Harry compared to Anquan Boldin by Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals held a private workout with Arizona State receiver N’Keal Harry over the weekend, reportedly the only private workout he gave any team in the league. The workout apparently went well. Star Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald heard about it and heard an iconic name used to compare the young local receiver.

“I love the young man,” Fitzgerald said on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM. “I heard he had a fantastic workout on Saturday. He looked explosive. I heard somebody in the building say they reminded him a lot of Anquan Boldin with how strong he is to the catch and the way he is able to run routes and his physical presence he brings.”

This will excite local fans who would love to see Harry land with Arizona. If selected by Arizona, it would be the second year in a row they draft a receiver with local ties. Christian Kirk, last year’s second-round pick, played high school ball in Scottsdale before playing at Texas A&M. Harry played for Chandler High School before going to Arizona State.

Fitzgerald, though, did not say who in the building made the comparison. Harry does play physically and is very tough to bring down after the catch. He had over 1,000 receiving yards each of his final two seasons for the Sun Devils.

It is not the first time we have heard an Anquan Boldin comparison, though. Fitzgerald himself said teammate Chad Williams reminded him of Boldin with the way he catches the ball.

Harry is expected to be drafted somewhere between the end of the first round to the first part of the second round. The Cardinals have the first pick in the second round.
