Larne vs AGF Aarhus - what the Danish visitors are expecting at Inver Park

AGF Aarhus head coach David Nielsen says his side have to deal with being heavy favourites against Larne in the Europa Conference League.

The Danish side are in Northern Ireland to face Larne in the first leg of their second qualifying round clash.

They are 1/3 favourites to win Thursday's away leg, highlighting the size of the task facing Larne at Inver Park.

"We have to beat that team over the two games," Nielsen told Tipsbladet.

"We will be favourites but we have to put the work in.

"We want to do as well as possible in the tournaments we are in, and we are in three tournaments, and we look forward to getting started.

"The goal within the next five years is that we will be in a group game, but we have to deal with the here and now.

"It is also about who you draw, but in the first instance it is about moving on from this round."

Aarhus goalkeeper Jesper Hansen - who joined the club from FC Midtjylland during the summer - says they expect an attritional test against Tiernan Lynch's Larne.

"I do not know much about Larne," he said.

"I expect a Northern Irish team that fights and fights and maybe reminds us a bit of some of the teams you find in the lower ranks here at home.

"We need a really concentrated effort to get a good result back home for the return match.

"There will be some exciting showdowns in the new tournament, so it could be cool to go all the way to a group game or at least to the playoff round.

"It could be a huge milestone for the club, even though the road is long and difficult."
