Larne: Man taken to hospital with facial injuries after Co Antrim attack

A man was taken to hospital with facial injuries following an attack in Larne.

Police are appealing for information following the incident which took place at around 8pm on Friday, July 2, in the Fairway area of the town, close to the playing fields.

It was reported that a man in his 20s was assaulted by two males and suffered injuries to his face and arm.

The ambulance service attended the scene and treated the victim before taking him to hospital.


Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the incident to contact them.

Detective Sergeant Crothers said: "We are working to establish what happened, who was involved and a motive for this attack. Anyone who was in the Fairway area shortly before, or around 8pm and witnessed what occurred, or anyone who has information about this incident, is asked to call detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1958 of 02/07/21.

"A report can also be made using the online reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport Alternatively, information can be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org."
