Larne FC get their own signature tune for playing in Europe

Larne were on song for their first ever game in Europe on Thursday night - in more ways than one.

The Inver Park club took on Bala Town in the first qualifying round of the Europa Conference League, winning 1-0 courtesy of David McDaid's second-minute goal.

And they had their own signature song to carry them into the opening leg.

Written by The Music Yard, the catchy jingle seems to be a hit with the Inver Park faithful.

Ian Surgenor from Larne tweeted: "Brilliant from @themusicyard #WEARELARNE"

Shirley Marshall posted on facebook: "Brilliant well done and good luck Larne Football Club!"

Larne qualified for Europe by winning last season's Europa Conference League play-off final.

They beat Cliftonville 3-1 on June 5 to book their place.

The first leg was tonight at the TNS Stadium, with the return leg next week at Inver Park.
