Larne announce new long-term deal for Tomas Cosgrove

Defender Tomas Cosgrove has signed a new long-term deal with Larne.

The club ave announced that Cosgrove has put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract extension which will keep him at Inver Park until 2024.

The full-back played 4206 minutes last season – the most of any player across the Danske Bank Premiership - taking part in 47 of Larne 's 48 games across league, cups and European play-offs.

“We feel it’s a real signal of intent for Tomas to sign this new, long-term deal at the club," Larne boss Tiernan Lynch told the club's website.

“Tomas came here as a very successful player at that point in his career and we feel he has got even better and stronger from that point on.

“He is rightly regarded as one of the best players in the league and we are delighted that he has committed his future at Inver Park, which would take him to seven years at the club.

“It’s a sign of the confidence we have in him, but it’s also a sign of his confidence that this club is building so that we can go from strength to strength in the near future.

“Tomas clearly enjoys his football here and really thrives in the full-time environment, so he is delighted and we are too.”
