Larkhall Thistle have friendlies lined up but need to be given dates

Larkhall Thistle boss Brian Crawford says he has arranged several pre-season friendlies with clubs, but can’t confirm until they are given dates.

Crawford hopes to arrange “five or six” games this summer, and says they won’t return to training until full-contact is allowed on May 17.

He said: “I’ve got some friendlies lined up but no dates in mind as yet, because we don’t know when we’re allowed to play, they haven’t give us dates yet.

“I’ve spoken to other clubs and we’ve agreed to play each other, but dates as such we’ve not organised yet.

“I like to play a few games so I’ll be going for five or six games over the pre-season.

“The squad is getting there, we’re quite happy with it so far, and there will be some new signings in and some boys gone from previous seasons.”

Crawford hopes the new league will be allowed to flourish and said: “Hopefully this year we’ll be allowed to proceed with the new league and it will hopefully be as successful as they were initially thinking it was going to be.”
