Writer Larissa Nolan was the toast of the Irish Mirror last night after scooping a major gong at the NewsBrands Ireland Journalism Awards.
She won Popular Columnist Of The Year for her incisive articles on issues which have captivated Ireland over the past 12 months.
The Mirror’s Editor In Chief John Kierans said at the ceremony in Dublin’s Mansion House yesterday: “I’m thrilled for Larissa.
"She is a wonderful writer. Every reader loves her words because they come from the heart.”
There was double joy for the Mirror team when veteran journalist Paddy Clancy – a columnist with irishmirror.ie – received a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Meanwhile, Sunday Times writer Mark Tighe was crowned Journalist Of The Year and also won Scoop Of The Year and News Reporter Of The Year for his exposure of issues surrounding corporate governance in the FAI.
