A large-scale emergency response has descended on an Ayrshire river this evening.
A variety of mercy crews are currently stationed beside the River Irvine in Kilmarnock.
Specialist services have also been dispatched to the scene along with a boat positioned on the river bank.
Police, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service along with the Scottish Ambulance Service are among the emergency responders in attendance at the scene.
The majority of the crews are parked up at an industrial estate on New Mill Road, near to the busy Queen's Drive in the East Ayrshire town.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
