'Large quantity of family gold' stolen from burglary in Bolton

Police have confirmed that a 'large quantity of family gold' has been stolen during a burglary in Farnworth.

Officers were called to reports of a burglary in Plodder Lane, close to the junction with Stanley Road, at around 8.30pm on November 16.

The suspects managed to escape out of the back of the house before cops arrived, according to Greater Manchester Police (GMP ).

GMP has now revealed that the suspects managed to take a 'large quantity of family gold' with them.

A spokesman for the Bolton South division of GMP wrote on Facebook: "On Monday the 16th of November at around 2030hours officers were called to reports of a burglary on Plodder Lane, close to the junction with Stanley Road.

"It is believed that the suspects fled out the back of the house before police arrived, taking with them a large quantity of family gold."
