Large police response to 'disturbance' at Oldham Sainsbury's

Police descended in force on a supermarket car park after a row broke out between a group of people.

Photos taken outside Sainsbury's in Oldham show at least seven police vehicles at the scene on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers were called to the car park at around 2.20pm to reports of a disturbance.

It is understood there was no physical contact between those involved in the dispute, but there were a number of customers and young children around at the time.

Those involved left the scene when officers arrived.

A spokesman for GMP confirmed that no arrests had been made and the incident had since been closed.

They said: "At around 2.20pm on Wednesday, police were called to reports of a disturbance in a car park on Clegg Street in Oldham.

"Officers attended and no arrests have been made."
