Large police presence at scene of 'disturbance' in Salford... one man has been arrested

A man has been arrested following a 'disturbance' in Salford.

Police were called to Albert Street in Cadishead at around 6pm on Thursday, August 27 to reports of a disturbance.

A man was arrested at the scene, a police spokesperson said.

He remains in custody for questioning.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called at 6.05pm today to reports of a disturbance on Albert Street in Cadishead.

"A male has been arrested and is in custody.

"The investigation is ongoing."

Pictures from the scene show a large police presence on Albert Street, with several police vehicles parked up on the road.

There were also reports of 'lots of armed police' on the road on social media.
