Large part of north Dublin town tipped to be without water until 4pm

A large part of north Dublin's largest town will be without water for much of the day after a watermain burst near Swords.

Fingal County Council says there will be a water outage in the Rathbeale Road area of the north county capital.

Apologising for the outage, they added that Irish Water are aware of the problem adding that things should return to normal by around 4pm.

On the local authority’s website they say: "Water outage in Swords, Saturday, August 2019 due to burst watermain - water off until 4pm today (approximatey)."

They added that areas affected include "Rathbeale Road (from junction of Main Street to Mooretown estate and all estates accessed therefrom).

They also said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this disruption. Irish Water is aware of this outage."
