The knife was spotted hidden next to a path near the car. Police believe the knife was 'intentionally' left at the scene.

Also located nearby were a number of stolen vehicle registration plates

A police spokesperson said: "The vehicle and plates have been recovered and will be examined by forensics. Whilst dealing with the vehicle, officers also located and seized a large kitchen knife that appeared to have been intentionally hidden near to a path, ready for someone to easily access."
