Emergency services race to huge fire at Scots home as crews tackle blaze for four hours

Hero fire crews tackled fierce flames for four hours after a large blaze broke out at a house in Fife.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Durham Terrace, Lower Largo, at around 8.11pm when the alarm was raised on Monday, June 7.

First responders quickly arrived and began battling the fire which sent plumes of smoke into the air.

Roads in the area were temporarily blocked while fire appliances responded to the incident.

Thankfully, there have been no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire or the extent of the damage caused is not currently known but the blaze was extinguished successfully at around midnight.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
