A man was taken to hospital after suffering a 'medical episode' while on scaffolding today (January 11).
The ambulance service were called around 1.50pm to Stokoe Avenue, Altrincham, with the fire service called at 2.25pm to rescue a man suffering a medical episode while on scaffolding on a property.
Emergency services were in attendance for nearly two hours to rescue the man and get him down from the scaffolding safely.

They were then taken to hospital, according to the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).

A spokesman said: "We were called to a patient suffering a medical episode at 1.53pm. HART (Hazardous Area Response Team) also attended to assist with a rescue from height.
"A man was taken to hospital."
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “At around 2.25pm today (Tuesday 11 January), North West Ambulance Service requested the support of firefighters to rescue a man who was receiving medical attention on scaffolding on Stokoe Avenue, Altrincham.
“Two fire engines from Sale and Wythenshawe, an aerial appliance from Manchester Central and a technical rescue unit from Leigh fire stations attended the scene.

“The aerial appliance was used to safely rescue the man from scaffolding and he was then conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
“Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and thirty minutes.”
