Firefighters and police were called to a large fire at a farm in Wigan.
Emergency services responded to the blaze at a barn on Lawns Avenue, in Orrell, shortly after 5.45pm on Wednesday (April 21).
Crews from Greater Manchester and Lancashire tackled the fire, which involved a 35m by 10m barn on the property.
Homes within 200m of the farm were advised to keep their windows and doors shut.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus brought the flames under control with jets and hose reels.
The blaze was under control by 9.20pm.
No one was injured in the incident and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 17:47 on 21st April, six fire engines from Skelmersdale, Ormskirk, Chorley and Bamber Bridge and a command unit from Blackburn attended an incident involving an outbuilding on Lawns Avenue, Up Holland.
"The fire involved a barn approximately 35x10m in size that was well alight when crews arrived.
"Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one hose reel jet and hand tools to bring the fire under control."
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police added: "We were called around 5.55pm yesterday (Wednesday, April 21) to a report of a barn fire in Lawns Avenue, Orrell.
"No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation."
